ANYONE
INTERESTED? Until recently, the
bells in the Bell Tower of our church have not rung
in
a long
time.
Much repair work needs to be done on them. Many people
have mentioned that they miss the sounds of the bells.
Our hope is that some day in the future we will be
able to have them repaired. However, in the meantime,
we are looking into having a Carillon System installed
in the Bell Tower so that we can once again enjoy
the sound of the bells before Mass and at other times
during the day. A deceased parishioner has left a
sum of money to the Parish to be used for the Parish.
This gift will be used to help defray the expense
of the Carillon System. This gift will not cover
the complete cost, so if there are other persons
interested in making a donation in memory of a loved
one or for some other reason, please contact Jack
Riley, our Operations Manager, for more information.

TRAINING SESSION
The Archdiocese is requiring all volunteers serving
our children to participate in a training session, Protecting
God’s Children. There will be several opportunities
during the next several months for anyone, over the age of
18 who interacts
with the children of St. Agatha’s Parish to attend
a training session. This program educates and trains adults
about
the dangers of child sexual abuse, the warning signs of abuse,
the ways to prevent abuse, and methods of properly reporting
suspicions of abuse and responding to allegations of abuse.
Such education and training is required for all people involved
with the youth of this Parish.
