RCIA: Rite of Acceptance and Welcome

RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation is a process of forming new members into our faith community. We provide support and education to those seeking Baptism (catechumen) and to Christians of other faith communities (candidate) who wish to become catholic. We are very fortunate to have two young women who participated in the Rite of Acceptance and Welcome on Nov 25, 2007, at the 10:30 Liturgy.

RCIA: Rite of Sending

Sending

On the First Sunday of Lent, we had the great joy of celebrating the Rite of Sending at the 10:30AM Mass for our participants in the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) process.
As a community, we sent them forth to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross for the Rite of Election with Cardinal O’Malley. Cindy is our catechumen who at the Easter Vigil will receive the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. She is now among God’s elect – chosen to be a part of the Christian faith community. Cecilia is our candidate who ,already  baptized, at the Easter Vigil will be received into full communion of the Catholic Church and receive Confirmation and Eucharist. Please keep these wonderful young woman in your prayers as we all journey toward the Easter Vigil.
