Grades 1 - 5 Use the "Discover! Finding Faith in Life" program; a home-based, child-friendly, self-directed online learning platform. This engaging program supports the domestic church, allowing families the convenience and flexibility to complete faith lessons at their own pace. Supplemental materials are provided to extend online learning.
Along with the home-based program; optional in-person family gatherings aimed to build community and celebrate the faith together, called BELIEVE Sessions, will be held on select Sunday mornings following the 9:30 am Family Mass or on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. The gatherings will be approximately once a month (dates to be announced) and will run for approximately one hour in length.
Liturgical events for families and service collections will take place on select Wednesday evenings throughout the year (dates to be announced).
The completion of Grade 1 and the Grade 2 "Discover! Finding Faith in Life" home-based online program along with the attendance of a few additional in-person gatherings (dates to be announced) are required to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in 2023.
Preparation for the reception of the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is a two-year process, generally in Grades 1 and 2. If your child is beyond the first grade and has not participated in a preparation program, please contact the faith formation office to discuss appropriate enrollment in the program.
