St. Agatha Parish has two consultative bodies whose members are parishioners and parish staff. These councils advise the pastor on a variety of issues in the parish.
Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) advises the pastor on the vision and priorities of Saint Agatha Parish. Other committees, such as St. Agatha Parish Outreach Committee or St. Agatha Parish Sprititual Growth and Adult Faith Formation Committee, are represented on the PPC by liaisons. An active parish finance council is critical to the sound management of a parish. For this reason, every parish is required by the Code of Canon Law to establish a finance council, which acts as a consultative body of parishioners to assist the pastor in the administration of the goods of a parish and to ensure accountability to the diocese and to parishioners.
